McGuire became a police officer to uphold the law and to protect those who cannot protect themselves. When he discovers a connection between a former friend and colleague, and a body buried on a beach that appears to have been frozen for five years, McGuire knows there is only one course of action he can take.

10 reviews for Unethical Conduct

The good, the bad, and the exhibitionist. Good coppers abound everywhere, but there are always the few rotten ones that turn up eventually. It’s taken a long time for this one arrogant beast to get close to getting caught even though a lot of coppers and street thugs knew but couldn’t prove enough. His arrogance led to a body on the beach under peculiar circumstances but McGuire was able to bring him down. Now if only they could catch the flasher!
Excellent procedural despite the fact that everything happened more than five years ago making proof that much more difficult. Thanks be that everything was fitted into a reasonable length book or I would never have gotten to sleep.

I am a person who had lost interest in reading for any length of time. Until now.
The book kept me captivated and interested.

  3. J. Wilson

I loved this book. I read in one sitting (with short snack breaks). Felt like a really authentic take on policing with Terry McGuire a really likable character. The pace was perfect, the story compelling and parts hilarious… (am slightly ashamed of my Dualit toaster now). Anything TM does next, I would definitely want to read.

  4. John Trist

This is a very good read for anyone who likes detective stories, the story is very well researched by the Author Terry Cole who is a retired police officer who has first hand knowledge and experience of what goes on in the criminal world. Can’t wait to read the next book.

  5. David Stead

Arthur cole shoots from the hip these are not just stories but mind boggling memories of years fighting hardened criminals so you could say that these are Arthur’s memoirs unfortunately some law enforcers were tempted to cross the line and the stories in these books echo out what really went on so thanks Arthur for your insight and knowledge .

  6. Dad Pad

Unexpectedly I thoroughly enjoyed this book. At first I thought Terry was a bit arrogant, HOW WRONG COULD I BE!!! Absolutely enthralling. Cannot wait now for the next book from these two Authors.

  7. Steve

Gritty realism and excellent plot lines.
I have to admit to a personal connection with one of the authors of this nook, but that isn’t the reason for my 5* review.
I found this book to have a high level of realism and excellent plot lines.
It does have quite a lot of bad language, but it’s always in context.

  8. Steve

What can I say about this book based on some of reviews it has had. The first book by Arthur and Nigel in the Terry McGuire series is a great read and its for charity. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down, read Unethical Conduct in a matter of hours. Looking forward to the next book, EDGE OF INTEGRITY!

  9. S P Daly

Another great read from the pen of Arthur Cole. So realistic is his writing that you are there, at the scene; investigating the crime – probably then no coincidence then that Arthur is a retired police officer and has been ably mentored as a writer by Nigel Williams. Nigel is himself a former police officer and an accomplished wordsmith, so Arthur and “Unethical Conduct” were in the best of hands.

  10. Susan Wallace (Vine Voice)

My name is Terry McGuire and I’m the D.I. I’m looking into the case of crooked D.I. Coulter now this a dead body.
A fantastic read with brilliant characters. I loved terry and how he worked.
What a read. Just couldn’t put it down. 5*.
