God is most assuredly with us in the simple routines of life, as well as its great and memorable moments. Jesus, the Carpenter of Nazareth, shared ordinary, monotonous human toil week by week.
In this book we travel together through the fifty-two weeks of a typical year. We think and pray together through spring and summer, autumn and winter, through snow and rain, wind and sun. God is with us on our holidays and at home, when we are doing the crossword on a commuter train or when we are sitting in an armchair and watching television.
This book sets out to help us to become increasingly aware of God’s continuous loving presence in all our daily rounds. We spend so much of our lives doing ordinary things, that it is vitally important to share them with God.
