Pauline Tucker
Pauline grew up in Bristol and had a normal, happy 70s childhood. The 80s saw her working as a civil servant with big earrings, big glasses and even bigger hair. As for the shoulder pads... she escaped to the countryside in the 90s, but prefers flat land rather than hills. Probably something to do with The Hill, The School Trip and The Broken Arm, but that’s another story altogether.
Her childhood favourites were Winnie-The -Pooh and The Wind In The Willows. She owned a narrowboat for a few years and spent many happy times messing about on the river like Ratty and Mole. She wasn’t very good at steering it, though – she’s much better at painting and sewing. Not to mention safer!
Apart from O-levels and A-Levels, Pauline’s main qualification is pretending to be an adult whilst having the imagination of a 7yr old. Her stories are written with humour and an eye for the absurd. How else could she come up with a cow riding a motorbike?
