‘Full of Welsh humour’ | Disaster In His Wake, by Ray Noyes

DIY as you’ve never known it!

I was gripped right from the first page and laughed all the way through the book. Our hero, Horatio, masterminds DIY projects which fail spectacularly and which the author relates with vivid humour. I had to ration my reading in order to make the book last longer! I can’t wait to see what Horatio gets up to next. Welsh humour at its best!

Thoroughly enjoyed this read. From the first page to the last I was gripped by the story of Horatio’s exploits and DIY disasters. Well written and very funny – it made me laugh out loud! Welsh Valley humour at its best! Can’t wait for volume 2 to find out what Horatio gets up to next!

A very witty novel full of Welsh humour. I really enjoyed the insight into the sleepy town of Abertwmp and can’t wait to keep up with Horatio’s escapades.

A proud man, Horatio Evans is idealistic, well-intentioned, charismatic, and inept. He muddles through life, hilariously attempting to implement his grand vision for a Soviet state in sleepy Abertump. Meet him in Disaster in His Wake, the first in The Strange Life of Horatio Evans series.
