Colum Sanson-Regan Featured on The Unsung Heroes of Doctor Who

Wordcatcher’s authors are a talented bunch, that’s for sure, and Colum Sanson-Regan exemplifies that fact. Many of our authors and regular readers will know Colum from the two extremely well-received books he has published with us so far. These are The Fly Guy and The Tall Owl and Other Stories.

What you might not know, however, is that Colum has a long-standing history in the creative industries. In addition to his work as a writer, he’s currently a lecturer on the English and Creative Writing degree at the University of South Wales and was David Tenant’s body double on Doctor Who.

Of course, body doubles scarcely receive the credit they deserve for the hard work they put in. Without them, many of our favourite scenes from film and TV couldn’t happen. That’s why we were delighted to see Colum featured on The Unsung Heroes of Doctor Who.

This gripping interview has it all: there are anecdotes about Sason-Regan turning up on set unsuspectingly on his first morning, only to find a script and the Doctor’s suit in the trailer he never knew he had. Later that day, he even had the pleasure of meeting and working alongside Kylie Minogue!

Congratulations to Colum on the interview, one of many deserved features to come, of that we’re certain. We know that after watching that, you’ll be keen to find out more, so please take a look at the ‘About’ section below.
