If you follow any of the links above, you’ll see how ambitious these goals are. Indeed, for any one company, or individual, they might appear impossible to achieve. We are taking a pragmatic approach in working towards the ideals they represent. What follows is a summary of what we feel we can achieve.
Our primary objectives for 2021
- We invite writers to submit guest posts to discuss disability issues with a focus on how this affects access to books, reading, writing, being an author, and publishing.
- We will set up a dedicated section on the website to highlight this content and give a voice to this subject.
- Wordcatcher already works with RNIB Bookshare to provide the books we publish free of charge to visually impaired readers, and we welcome similar ways to extend accessibility of our authors’ content.
These objectives may touch upon many of the UN goals, and we look forward to seeing where this leads.
In case you missed it, here is yesterday’s post about out how we will be dedicating resources to realising the Sustainable Development Goals.
